Even though school just ended and summer has just officially begun, school is right around the corner! For most families, the beginning of a new school year means a lot of additional expenses that can be difficult to afford. We have compiled a list of some tips on how to save money this year!
-Either buy early (starting now) or after school starts. The best deals will happen right after the beginning of the year, but you should be able to find some if you start slowly purchasing now!
-Check discount stores first. Dollar stores have the same products as the big box stores at deep discounts.
-Find a store that does price matching. Then you can check ads of other local retailers and purchase them all at one store that price matches. This will help save you time AND money!
-Use coupons! Sign up for major retailers’ e-mail lists and frequently you will receive e-mails with coupons and new deals!
-Take advantage of sales tax holidays. Both Georgia and Tennessee offer sales tax exempt days!
-If your child needs to purchase books, consider purchasing second hand. There are many websites and brick and mortar stores that offer gently used books at a deep discount!
